Thank you to all the men who came out June 18th for the Men's Ministry Gathering!

It was a blessing to see your faces and have the opportunity to share, enjoy food have fellowship with you. We appreciate your effort to share input and help us grow as a vital part of MorningStar. Thank you for your patience as we walked through the birthing process of this ministry. We look forward to the future and all that the Lord is building in and through us.

A special "THANK YOU" to Carolyn Peacher for her time and talent at our June 18th meeting.

Thanks also to ALL the men who have come out this year to be a part of the Men's Ministry! We have an awesome group of men that the Lord has called together in this vineyard for such a time as this. Your commitment, service and sacrifice have been a blessing to our church family, school (CSCL), and community.

We are looking forward to staying connected during the summer and hope that you will encourage other men in our church family to join our blogsite so that our circle can expand and become more effective as a resource for the men of MorningStar.

Prayer Request/Website for John Boneck's wife, Barbara

MorningStar Men,

Recently, our brother John Boneck's wife, Barbara, was admitted into the hospital at the end of May for tests. Since then, she has undergone a lot of tests and gone through a surgery due to an aggressive cancer. She is home now with John.

They have had so many people ask about Barbara’s prayer needs and physical needs that it has been impossible to respond to everyone, so they have created a web site.

MorningStar Men Needed to Help Clear Warehouse 6/27/11 for Gym Work to Begin!

MorningStar Men,

We are planning to clean out the warehouse at the CSCL school this coming Monday June 27th, 2011 in preparation for the gymnasium work to begin!

We can get this done in a day with enough volunteers on hand.

We NEED YOUR HELP to make this happen. We are asking volunteers to show up at 9:00am till 2:00pm.

Clint Rogers - (CSCL staff) will be delegating the duties that day. He has been working with the school for 5 years now and knows the warehouse very,very well. He will be a huge help.

Contact Clint through this blog post if you are a blogsite member or at csclrogers@gmail.com with any questions concering volunteering to help with the warehouse clearance on Monday, June 27th.

We are counting on our MORNINGSTAR MEN stepping up to the plate as we begin to see the fruition of our CSCL Gymnasium begin to come to pass! This facility will be a blessing for our youth, our adults, church, school, community and region once it is completed. Your time, skills and talent sown into making it a reality will reap a harvest for generations to come.

We believe we have one of the most valuable groups of resources on the planet among our men's membership at MorningStar and that we are embarking on just the tip of all that the Lord will accomplish through us for the glory of His Kingdom.

Rev. Martin Dominic Powell is a passionate lover of the Word of God and has dedicated his life to knowing it in its fullness. Martin was born in London, England, in 1962; married his wife, Janet, in 1986; and has been blessed with two children. After pastoring a church in London for 18 years, Martin is now serving with Christ’s Mandate for Missions. This is the missionary arm of MorningStar Ministries.

Anyone like playing bass guitar?

Hello guys,

Just joined the men's site and want to know if anyone else plays bass guitar. I am working on learning and would like to know if anybody else enjoys it. I am a painter by trade and I also like sports, fishing and the Word of God.

We need everyone else planning to come and eat with us (cookout style--hamburgers/hot dogs, etc.) to RSVP by emailing mstarmen@morningstarministries.org of your intentions to attend and eat with us by noon on Wednesday, June 15th. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Please plan to pay $5 for your meal at the meeting Saturday. This will be our final men's meeting until after July's sabbatical month off, so we hope you all can come out and be a part of this gathering.

REMINDER: Sign-up/RSVP table after June 5th service @11am, for June 18th gathering

IMPORTANT REMINDER for MorningStar Men,

On Sunday, June 5th after the 11am service (CSCL Graduation), there will be a table to sign up/RSVP for the food headcount for the Men’s gathering on Saturday, June 18th at 10:30am in the Grand Café. This will be a cookout style lunch. Be prepared to pay $5.00 for the meal if you plan to eat with us that day.

You may also RSVP by emailing your plans to attend on June 18th to mstarmen@morningstarministries.org . This helps us to plan for food more accurately. Thanks in advance!

This will be our final men’s gathering for the year before our sabbatical month of July off, so we hope to see as many of our brothers as possible attend this gathering. We want to pray and cover one another, our families, church, communities, state, nation and world before we all go in different directions during July and are not meeting corporately. There is power in unity, numbers and agreement so we are looking forward to an awesome time together! More details to follow soon.
