Men's Ministry Coffee & Fellowship Fridays in the Fuel Room-Street 6:30am - 7:30am

The Men's Coffee and Fellowship Friday's kicked off at the Advanced Prophetic Conference and it was a full house! Men from ten different churches arcross the US and Bermuda came out to share in some great fellowship and hot coffee in the Fuel Room on Main Street! A huge "Thank You"  to Elizabeth Braswell for sharing her Fuel Room space with the Men's Ministry for this opportunity!

We have continued the past 2 weeks meeting on Friday mornings and we are already getting great praise reports from our time together and our prayers for one another. We hope that those who work will be able to stop by on days they feel led to join in and others who can will become regulars in attendance so that we will have a continual place to connect outside of our monthly meetings. What ever your need may be, this is a place we now have to come and fellowship with other brothers in our "family." So mark your calendars and plan to stop in and join us this week if you can!

Men's Ministry Kickoff, Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 - Important UPDATES

Greetings MorningStar Men,

Thanks to all the men who came out for our "New Season" kickoff September 10th at CSCL! We had a great group with twelve new men who joined us for the meeting!

A special thank you to Doug Lee for making an awesome presentation on some great activities we can explore doing as a group.

A warm welcome to Bart Peacher, who is joining the men's leadership team. Bart has a father's heart and we are blessed to have him join the team.

We have also planned to also kick-off a weekly Men's coffee and fellowship meeting this month! We are looking at meeting on Friday mornings from 6:30 - 7:30am in the FUEL ROOM on Main Street in MorningStar. Men can drop in before work or just some by to have coffee, fellowship, pray and just be led by the Spirit during that time. More news to come on that! Stay tuned!

We will be meeting the third Saturday of each month through December, 2011 from 8:30am -10:00am in the Grand Cafe (unless otherwise notified). Our next meetings will be:

Saturday, October 15, 2011 - 8:30am - 10:00 am in the Grand Cafe

Saturday, November 19, 2011 - same as above

Saturday, December 17, 2011 - same as above

Spread the word about our fellowship and reach out to a man who has never been to our meetings. The MorningStar University Students are a group of young men we want to intentionally build relationships with and encourage while they are here to study and be prepared for ministry. It can get lonely being away from home and they may need an older man to "father" them - whether it is a listening ear, a home-cooked meal or just a random act of kindness sometimes to encourage and bless them while they are here with us.

We will be inviting them to our meetings so you can get to meet the young men who do come out. Sometimes just a word of encouragement is the most valuable gift you could give them, so go for it!

Remember, if you want to join this blog and be able to make new posts, just email your name and email address to mstarmen@morningstarministries.org and state that you want to join the Men's Ministry Blog.

We would love to see more men getting connected through the blog and using it to share information, discover the resources we have among us, support and encourage one another and rejoice with those who are rejoicing.

Be sure to also check out our updated  men's ministry page on the MorningStar website by clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/pRJt61

Looking forward to a great year ahead in Him!  Enjoy the photos below from our Sept. 10th Men's Monthly Meeting...

Hope to see you at the Friday Men's Coffee and Fellowship in the  FUEL ROOM  from 6:30-7:30am on MAIN STREET in MorningStar! We are having some great fellowship and prayer...come out and join us!

Can you help a missionary family unpack Thurs. Aug. 18 at Dogwood Hills Regent Park?

CAN YOU HELP A M ISSIONARY FAMILY UNPACK THURSDAY, AUGUST 18TH

Dave Barry [davebarrymissions@gmail.com]

If you know anyone to invite to help, Chris and Mary Ann will appreciate it greatly. Men can unload and women may help Mary Ann start to put things away.

Unpacking help needed Thursday Aug. 18 starting with 6:45 am breakfast at 900 square foot home of Chris and Mary Ellen Reber, missionaries from Bangladesh. Chris and Mary Ann Reber just moved last week to 477 Sweetgum Drive (Dogwood Hills in Regent Park) Fort Mill, SC 29715 home (803) 548-3402 or cell (610) 573-3213 cmer9@hotmail.com. I will be helping them unload a 20 foot container. Please let Chris know if you can help unload or pass this request on to young men or ladies willing to help unload or unpack inside. Chris says he lives in a first floor home with nothing heavy i.n his container. No appliances coming. Thank you for praying for this new MorningStar family. They left Bangladesh due to Mary Ann's health.

Prayer request for Tim Flachman and his son Caleb

MorningStar Men,

Our brother Tim Flachman needs our prayers and support for his son Caleb and his family as well.

Tim is a MorningStar Media specialist and was on vacation recently with his family when he and his son had a boating accident. Tim is ok. Caleb suffered a concussion and bruises as well, but the doctors also discovered a benign 6 inch tumor in his spine. Since then, Caleb has been transferred to a Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and tommorrow will undergo a 10 hour surgery to have the tumor removed.

We need you to pray for Caleb and Tim's family and if you would like to know the details or more about how you can help the family please visit the link below to Caleb's Caringbridge page that Tim is updating regularly and also has a place for you to send well wishes, encouragement, etc.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Here is an August 9, 2011 update and prayer request for Caleb Flachman:

Caleb will have surgery tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10, to remove the tumor on his spine. Without too many details, the surgery will be very involved and will begin first thing in the morning. It is expected to be an all day surgery, about 10+ hours.

Thank you for your prayers during this time.

Here is a link where you can keep up with more information about Caleb Flachman:

In Him,

Al Wood
