BOB JONES MEMORIAL CENTER DINNER
Thoroughly enjoyed the Bob Jones Memorial Center Dinner at our recent Harvest Summit. I am elated that we are honoring my friend and mentor in such an appropriate manner as a memorial prayer center! I know the Lord is pleased and Bob is smiling in heaven. I hope you will consider joining me to help raise the funds needed to complete this very special project that will honor Bob and carry on the work of the Lord.
Our spiritual father and dear friend to the ministry, Bob Jones, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2014. MorningStar is honoring his life by restoring the historical “Tram Stop” located right across from the main entrance of Heritage and calling it the Bob Jones Memorial Center. Bob Jones walked past this building almost daily during his times of prayer and talking to his Papa. This multi-purpose facility will serve to carry forward Bob’s vision of seeing the 1 billion soul harvest released on the earth today.
In 1975, the Lord told Bob Jones, “Prepare the people, for I am going to bring a billion souls in one great harvest, and most of them are going to be youth.” In 1983, thirty-one years before his death, he had another encounter where he saw his tombstone. From his death a beautiful rose of Sharon would spring forth, symbolizing the body of Christ united in the first commandment. In 2014, the Lord spoke to Bob and Bonnie Jones that prayer, praise, and prophecy would be instrumental in the fulfillment of Bob’s lasting vision.
The Bob Jones Memorial Center will carry his vision forward with daily prayer, worship, and other relevant events. This building was a central meeting place during PTL days and will be a strategic hub for the ingathering at MorningStar. Although structurally sound, it is in need of much repair. The restored building will serve as a memorial stone, or an “Ebenezer,” to commemorate Bob’s life and work. This will also be a reminder of what MorningStar has been called to do here on this property.
